The short version
- Tamaishi has no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or location.
- Your game progress is stored only on your phone.
- The game is supported by ads from Google AdMob, which arrive in a later update. AdMob collects some device data, such as your advertising ID and IP address, to show and measure ads.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to see how the game is played (for example, which gardens people finish) and Firebase Crashlytics to get crash reports so we can fix bugs. Neither identifies you by name.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before ads use your data for personalization. You can change your choice at any time.
- We never sell your personal information.
Which version does what
Version 1.0.0 sends anonymous usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) to Google, as described in section 4. Your game progress still stays only on your phone. Ads (Google AdMob) arrive in a later update. This policy already describes that full setup so it stays accurate when they do, and we will show a consent message first where the law asks for one.
Data at a glance
Choose a filter to see what each part of the game uses. The sections below explain every row.
| Data | Who gets it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Progress, jade, boosters, daily streak, scrolls, settings | Only your phone | So the game remembers where you are. It never leaves your device. |
| Advertising ID, app set ID | Google AdMob | Showing and measuring ads, limiting how often you see the same ad, fraud prevention, and personalized ads where you allow them. |
| Approximate location (from your IP address, not GPS) | AdMob Firebase | Ads relevant to your region, regional statistics, legal compliance. |
| Ads viewed or tapped, app launches | Google AdMob | Measuring ad performance and preventing fraud. |
| Device model, OS version, language, app version | AdMob Firebase | Delivering ads correctly, grouping reports, troubleshooting. |
| App interactions: screens opened, gardens started, cleared or failed, helpers used, daily garden completed | Firebase Analytics | Seeing which parts of the game work well and balancing difficulty. |
| Firebase installation ID and app instance ID (random IDs for this install) | Firebase | Counting players and sessions, grouping crash reports from the same install. |
| Crash and error details, free memory, time of the crash | Firebase Crashlytics | Finding and fixing bugs and crashes. |
1. Who we are
Tamaishi is made by Kodekraftr ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
2. Information stored on your device
The game saves your progress on your phone: gardens cleared and your lotus on each, jade, helper boosters, daily garden days and streak, scroll pieces, Zen and Rush results, and settings (sound, music, vibration, reduce motion and hints). This data doesn't leave your device and we can't see it. If Android backup is turned on, Android may include it in your own Google backup. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Tamaishi is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show ads, measure them, limit how often you see the same ad and prevent fraud, the AdMob software inside the game collects and processes the data in the table above. Google receives it directly; we don't receive data that identifies you.
Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. AdMob may work with certified ad technology partners; Google lists them on its ad technology providers page.
Rewarded ads
Some ads may be optional: you choose to watch them for a reward, such as extra jade or a helper. You never need to watch one to keep playing.
Your choices about ads
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): the first time ads would be shown, Google's consent message asks whether ads may use your data for personalization. You can change your choice any time from Settings, under Privacy choices, in the game.
- US state privacy laws: where they apply, you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted ads from the same Privacy choices option.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID: on Android, open Settings, then Google, then Ads (or Settings, then Privacy, then Ads) and choose Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID. Without an advertising ID, ads are not personalized.
- Manage ad personalization for your Google account at My Ad Center.
If you decline personalization, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your activity.
4. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
To understand how the game is played and to fix problems, Tamaishi uses two Google services: Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect the data in the table above and send it to Google, which processes it for us. We see it as aggregated reports and individual crash reports, not linked to your name, email or Google account.
Firebase Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months; Crashlytics crash reports for 90 days. Google describes how Firebase handles data in Privacy and Security in Firebase. To reset the identifiers, clear the game's storage or reinstall it.
5. Sharing your daily result
The Daily garden has a Share button. It opens Android's own share sheet with a short line of text (for example the date, your lotus, your time and your best combo). Nothing is sent unless you pick an app and send it yourself. We don't see it.
6. Permissions
The game uses the Internet permission (for ads, analytics and crash reports), Vibration (haptic feedback) and the Advertising ID permission used by AdMob and Firebase Analytics, plus network state and wake lock, which Firebase uses to send reports efficiently, and Google's install referrer and Android Ads services permissions, which Firebase Analytics uses to measure where installs come from. It does not access your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
7. Children
Tamaishi is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, email us and we'll help remove it. Ads shown to users who indicate they are under the age of consent in their region are not personalized.
8. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Personalized advertising relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Non-personalized ads, ad measurement, fraud prevention, analytics and crash reporting rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the game free, secure and working well.
9. Keeping and deleting data
We keep no personal data on our own servers. Data stored on your device stays until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Google keeps advertising data according to its own retention policies, and analytics and crash data as described in section 4. See Delete your data for step-by-step instructions.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, California law or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. Because we don't hold identifiable data ourselves, most requests are handled through the controls above or directly with Google. You can always email us and we'll help.
11. Security and transfers
Data sent by the game, including ad requests, analytics and crash reports, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Google may process advertising, analytics and crash data in countries other than yours, with the safeguards described in its privacy policy.
12. This website
This website doesn't use cookies, advertising or third-party trackers, and it loads its font and images from our own host. If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that one setting on your device. Like any website, our hosting provider can see your IP address and basic request details, which it uses only to deliver and secure the site.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above, and for important changes we'll show a notice in the game or on this site.
